The ActiveHybrid 750i Sedan is equipped with a twin-turbo, High Precision Direct Injection V8 engine with a 3-phase synchronous electric motor. The electric motor receives its supply of energy from a lithium-ion battery pack. The combined horsepower is 455 with 515 lb-ft of torque, which results in a 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds for the 750i and 4.8 seconds for the 750Li. Precisely controlled interaction of both power sources maximizes the efficiency and performance of the ActiveHybrid 7 while delivering an approximately 15% improvement in fuel economy vs its gasoline counterparts.
